Truth Versus System |
The Jewish religious system
that had stood for over 1000 years
arrayed itself against the Lord Jesus,
and within one generation,
the Jewish temple was gone
and Jerusalem was in ruins.
The vast Catholic religious system
that had been in control for centuries
arrayed itself against the Lord
who confronted it thru a monk,
and the Lord brought his people out.
Most of the vast Protestant system
has since turned against the gospel
of the Protestant Reformation and
is teaching popular counterfeits that
double talk with lip service to grace
but "salvation by works" at the core
and that attract many but save none.
Everyone in every system who refuses
the Reformation gospel will perish,
but every person who takes their trust
for salvation from off all else and places
that trust solely and totally on Jesus Christ
(despite the opposition of the system)
will live forever.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Reformation
gospel, Frank, because there are many many
churches and beliefs originating from this
time. Martin Luther taught the Immaculate
Conception of Mary, and he believed in
Consubstantiation (if that's the right
spelling!), he virtually rejected Revelation
and he hated the book of James.
So his beliefs were probably very different
to your own?
Then we have the Baptist church, Anglican church,
Calvinist, Lutheran church, and all the other
churches which have their origins in the
Reformation, but all have different beliefs.
I really don't think God is the great ogre that
you paint him. I don't think he will reject
us for our faulty theology.

Yes, I think Frank has missed the bit about
grace in the Bible. He has actually introduced
a lot of his own rules, which is a bit of a
contradiction,since he condemns what he sees
as the rules of mainstream Christianity.

But Frank, I seem to remember you going into
great detail about how a lot of Christians
will be condemned because they only made "commitments",
or they responded to calls to conversion but they
did it in the wrong way, or they also believed in
good works, or any number of exceptions.
So I think you're making Christianity into a
very elite club of people who know the answer to
a very confusing riddle eg. they know what the
"Reformation gospel" means, including all the
very many exceptions, as I mentioned above.
According to those rules, the number of people
in heaven will be down to single figures.
