Mar. 31 - Hundreds of employees at the Tennessee Valley Authority may soon
be out of work.
TVA is considering eliminating 600 to 800 jobs as part of a cost cutting
move. The cuts would represent the largest down-sizing at the utility in a
decade.
TVA is preparing for industry deregulation by reducing expenses. If needed,
officials say layoff notices will go out April 22nd.
