HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- The Hendersonville Police Department said it was
investigating a double homicide at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at 713 Connor
Ave.

Officers said they found Constance Sparks, 81, and her son, Robert
Sparks,
56, dead.

Detectives from the police department and agents from the North Carolina
State Bureau of Investigation processed the scene.

Hendersonville police said that evidence at the house indicated that a
home
intrusion and homicide of both victims occurred sometime during Friday
night
or early Saturday morning.

Sparks' 1993 Cadillac Deville was also missing from the home. It is a
dark
red or maroon car with North Carolina license plate HZR 4022.

Currently, the Hendersonville Police Department is working with the East
Carolina University Police Department, who said they have two suspects in
custody.

The identities of the suspects are being withheld, as to not jeopardize
the
ongoing investigation.
