Was "Re: Are Churches Getting Gods Message ?"
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My
house, And try Me now in this"Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not
open for you the windows of heaven, And pour out for you such blessing,
That there will not be room enough to store it." (Malachi 3, v10).

Why do many Churches wonder why they are having so many problems? Is it
because they dont show charity to the stranger at the doors of their
Churches called by Gods name? Dosent God "Administer justice for the
fatherless, and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and
clothing."?(Deuteronomy 10, v18) Why cant we? Are we looking for money
when we invite others to our Churches?
"When you give a dinner or supper, do not ask your friends, your
brothers, your relatives nor rich neighbors, lest they pay you back,
and you be repaid."
"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the
blind"
"And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall
be repaid at the resurrection of the just" (Luke 14, v 12-14)
Dont worry, those coming to your doors.....are just a test.

Hello,
Yes, many churches have problems. Mainly because they fail to follow
God's word, the Holy Bible. For example, notice how Jesus said to treat
your enemy. Mt 5:44,
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you," (NASB)
Now think back to the wars of the world, such as WWII, and recall how
many different churches supported, and/or participated in those wars.
Yes, they followed the political leaders of their respective nations
(with the support of their churches), and KILLED their enemies. But
true Christians really do follow Jesus' words, and "love" their
enemies. It certainly is not easy, esp when 'war fever' is high in the
country they reside in. But they would rather follow God and be
punished for it, than to follow some political leader. As the physician
Luke recorded at Ac 5:29,
"Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than
men!" (NIV)
Sincerely, James

So the source of church problems is that we don't invite enough of the
poor, sick, and lame to supper?
I don't think so. My Bible doesn't say so either.

Dont worry, those coming to your doors.....are just a test.

Hello,

Yes, many churches have problems. Mainly because they fail to follow
God's word, the Holy Bible.

You seem to be making this up as you go. The churches I have seen
lately are doing just fine. And we Christians ALL follow the Bible.
I'm sorry if you or your lutheran church don't. Some lutheran
churches do, but others don't.

For example, notice how Jesus said to treat
your enemy. Mt 5:44,

"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you," (NASB)

We do that.

Now think back to the wars of the world, such as WWII, and recall how
many different churches supported, and/or participated in those wars.

None, unless you believe that there is a church called, "The church of
secular politicians and idiots."
We Christians support our troops (as we should, they are our sons and
daughters and friends, and they protect us). That does not mean we
support the war.
Do you know who the most righteous Israelite in the Bible was? A
SOLDIER. Do you know what soldiers are paid to do? Do you know of
even one place in the Bible where Jesus or any of His followers EVER
told any soldiers that what they were doing was evil?
Perhaps you should rethink your position.

Yes, they followed the political leaders of their respective nations
(with the support of their churches),

EXACTLY WHICH churches "supported" wars? Please BE SPECIFIC, and
offer documentation, or admit that you are wrong.

and KILLED their enemies. But

Matt 8:5-11
Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him,
pleading with Him, 6 saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home
paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
7 And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
8 The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You
should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will
be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers
under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another,
'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed,
"Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even
in Israel!
NKJV

As the physician
Luke recorded at Ac 5:29,

"Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than
men!" (NIV)

And we do.
