Was "Re: How do you know God exists?"
This is my first posting. I have long wondered if God exists.
If you are Christian or Jewish, how do you know God really exists?
Do you not question it, if you cannot prove God exists?
Thanks
Hello,
(sorry about the first post, forgot to run the spellchecker, so I
tried it again)
If you saw a sophisticated robot walking down the street, would you
assume it popped itself into existence, or that some intelligence made
it? Really, think about it.
Now look a a human body walking down the street, something much more
sophisticated than the robot. If you just 'know' that some highly
intelligent person had to have created that robot, how much more so
that far greater designed human body.
True, today we are not having the Red Sea parting, or miraculous
plagues on our enemies etc, things which at the time brought no doubt
about a Creator. But today, along with His written word the Holy
Bible, we have His creation itself to testify about an intelligent
Creator at work. And that is also how the Bible shows us. Ro 1:20,
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his
eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(NIV)
Yes, a person with an open mind should at least, after examining the
evidence around him, consider the possibility that all those thousands
of highly designed life forms just didn't come into existence over
time by mindless random chance.
Sincerely, James
