THE RETURN TRIP (1/25/86)
Jesus came back and landed in Allentown! (PA).
He didn't know what to do, so just sort of hung around.
Naturally He spoke Hebrew, not a word of English.
He looked up to Daddy, with a nervous twitch.
He wandered down to Hamilton Mall,
Looking for Peter, John and Paul.
But He found a wino staggering on 8th Street.
'Twas the middle of winter, Christ in bare feet.
The Visitor wanted a drink of wine.
The wino said "This juice is mine."
A cop saw Jesus grab for the booze.
The wino's bottle he did lose.
The cop had to lock Him up in jail.
Jesus then began to wail.
Daddy had said: "You will be King."
But He's now in Rittersville** on the right side wing.

**Rittersville is the colloquial name for the
Allentown State Hospital, housing the mentally impaired.
