What made Balaam so powerful? |
What did Balaam, a gentile have? R. Akiva Tatz: Remember a curse is
not...what we think it is...it isn't to utter a curse....It means to call
down a spiritual judgment upon them.....so intense and so accurate that it
itself would wipe them out. Remember...Balaam wasn't going to pronounce some
magical or mystical curse.....this is all truth or falsehood.....Emes or
shekker. So Balaam was not powerful at all against the Jewish people.
