'When we try to control others it is s signpost of our own dis-ease.' |
Over the years I have run into many people that would like to control
me.
Some say my posts are too long, others tell me I have no right to
exist at all.
Recently one person told me the type I was using was too large. (I'm
54..so eyesight is going downhill.)
Others tell me I do not use 'I' enough.
Then the opposite group writes me that tell me I am an egomaniac
because my posts contain too many 'I's"
I am not bound by such prejudice that these people exhibit.
When they let the 'length' of a post or 'type' size I use disturb them
it says it all about their state of inner peace...nil.
When we try to control others it is s signpost of our own dis-ease.
If I see a post I do not like...I just go onto the next one.
Whenever we get upset with others, it is good to look at things in
perspective of the 3 laws that govern us.
All humans answer to:
Man made law
Natural law
Divine law (for those that believe in the spiritual realm**)
Always remember, if a person's actions do not violate any of these
laws, then it becomes more of a 'subjective question' of violation.
When likes and dislikes of actions become subjective, then, making
demands on others without a firm foundation in the laws bases our
decision in our ego.
As such, the general rule is:
Persons should seek to please themselves with their actions first
before they please the ego's of others.

There's more to your existence than your posts. Here you appear to
conflate the two. Nevertheless, you have the right to exist because you
exist; and as far as I'm aware there is no specific limit on how long a
Usenet post can be. Ask these critics to cite the rule.

The person who criticised you must have been using a different sort of
Usenet from mine. In mine, posts are made in plain text, and their text
size in my reader is the result of MY settings, not the poster's.
Others tell me I do not use 'I' enough.
This would be a specious complaint indeed. If they cannot find anything
more substantial to object to then I would not worry unduly.

Two laws, in my case: natural law IS divine law.
In addition, it should be considered that not every offensive act is
illegal in 'man-made law', or impossible in natural law. Therefore, your
rule here is insufficient. Judging one's actions entirely on whether
they are legal or not is not adequate. One must also judge whether they
are moral. When you speak of 'law', you would do well to include also
convention and courtesy, along with the famous 'golden rule': that one
should treat others as one would wish to be treated unless one is a
masochist.

It may be that your comments above are your attempt to proof yourself
against objections, since it is not *illegal* to be mistaken. But before
you are taken seriously by many here, you WILL need to demonstrate that
you have gained an understanding of the concepts of 'atheist' and 'god'.
While you continue to claim that an atheist serves any god at all, you
show that you have no such understanding.
In addition, it should still be noted that you use a made-up AA number
without any authority to do so. As someone who does not understand the
concept of atheism it may simply be that you do not realise why, as a
religious person, you have no claim to one of these numbers. But because
you are religious, it is fatuous to make a fuss about wanting a number
that indicates that you're not.
