WHEN WILL THIS WAR STOP?
I came to this alt.christnet.christianlife in October 2003, because of
the name "christianlife."
I have posted as "Glenn," Bagman" and "oldwetdog," 'gaedhealic and
"servitum," and if anyone is interested I will be pleased to explain the
reasons for the various NICs.
For the first three months, I did my best to fit in with the group. The
'controversy' was already under way, and I attemted to avoid it and
confrontation and to be at peace with all posters. http://tinyurl.com/k3v7c
Even though I did not like the style of certain posters, I did sometimes
read them even if I did not reply. Even though I did not post into some
of the flames, fights and debates, I did read some of them.
When I began to notice certain conduct, which I considered
'un-Christian' (lies and false accusation, libel and ridicule) being
repeated by the same individuals, I began to investigate. I found that
certain people made a practice of certain conduct. What I mean is that a
certain few seemed to be aggressive, prone to attack, to make war. There
were also certain posters who seemed to make peace.
But then I noticed the strange thing. No one ever corrected the habitual
aggressors. When a poster was attacked and reacted in anger to the
attack, the victim of the attack was corrected. If the battle became
heated, the peacekeepers would go the victim and say, "Why can't you
just forgive and forget?" Or, "Let it go..."
By the middle of December, I realized I could not join those who
practiced this obvious conspiracy. The group who worked this two-sided
warfare had a self-appointed Leader, a "Vision" and 'guidelines.' The
'Leader' used his own private interpretation of Scripture to enforce his
control of the posters on the group, and those who did not submit or
agree to his leadership and "vision" were asked to leave ACC.
In another week or 10 days, I realized I could no longer remain silent
about what I have witnessed, since silence is considered to be consent
or submission.
Still, I hesitated because, a) I was not certain that my
comprehension/evaluation of what was happening was correct beyond a
reasonable doubt, and b) I had seen what happened to an individual who
criticized a member of the "crew," or (heaven forbid) The Leader.
Well, I had a vacation for the Christmas Holidays, and tried to put it
out of my mind. But I could not completely get it out of my mind, and
this turmoil was a stain on my pleasure of being with my children and
grandchildren.
By the time I returned on December 28, I realized I had been enlisted in
a war: the war between heaven and hell, between God and Satan. I wrote
to Mike Bugal, who did not reply. I wrote to Griz and Vera. Griz did not
reply and Vera "plonked" me. On or about January 4, 2004, I began to
resist the Griz Cult.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, do not make the mistake of believing that you
can sit on the sidelines of the war between Heaven and Hell, between
Truth and Lies; and safely, from a distance, love both the evil and the
good. When the front line breaks and evil rushes through, will the enemy
of God spare you because you did not actively resist?
Do you not perceive that your silence is giving permission to make war?
Are you unconcerned when the innocent are accused falsely, saying, "It
is none of my business"?
Do you deny the fact that when you do not speak for Justice, you condone
injustice?
If you do not insist on Equity for others, do you then have a right to
fairness and justice?
Can you not see that when you do not oppose the liar, you approve the lie?
So you do not want to participate in a war? Perhaps you should
reconsider your concept of real life, because if you call yourself
'Christian' you are in a war, want it or not.
Perhaps you should reconsider that nice safe "Costume" of Christianity
you are wearing.
If you are not willing to "contend for the Faith," perhaps it is because
you are not what you think you are. Jude 1-3.
Those who do not defend Truth do not Love Truth, and that is the truth.
2 Thes. 2:11-12.
Perhaps you looked at it, but didn't see it. Heb. 12:4.

against Truth, there will be war. Love and hate can not live in the same
Heart, and lies, libel, ridicule and false accusation are hate.

One of those things we parents learn is how our words come back to
haunt us.
A couple of years ago, my son did something (I can't say what in
here; I think you know) that was TOTALLY out of the blue, and I was
shocked speechless.
It concerned his "destiny" and his "life's calling."
When I asked him "where did THAT come from?"
He said, "Well, my DAD always told me,
"Decide what you want to do, don't get talked out of it by ANYBODY,
and GO FOR IT!"
He said, "I went for it!"
Don't tell your kids to do things and then expect them to NOT do it!
He said, "All I did was to follow my dad's advice!"
"Grrrrrrrrrrrr!"

You'e been just as guilty of bad behavior in Usenet as those you
accuse. If you're serious about seeing the "war" end, make the first
effort by working on yourself and behaving in a Christ-like manner.
You want to see the war stop? Set down your AK-47 first and then
worry about disarming the guy next to you (paraphrase of Matthew
7:3-5).
Jesus didn't come into a town or village for the first time shouting
at the top of His lungs that everyone in it were heretics. He showed
them love.
