WHERE IS THE REAL GOD? |
All religious belief is based on pure 'FAITH', not on ANY tangible OBJECTIVE
VERIFIABLE 'SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE'.

Faith
2 a(1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2) : belief in the
traditional doctrines of a religion b(1) : firm belief in something for
which there is no proof (2) : complete trust
Science
3 a : knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the
operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through
scientific method b : such knowledge or such a system of knowledge
concerned with the physical world and its phenomena : natural science
Objective
b : of, relating to, or being an object, phenomenon, or condition in the
realm of sensible experience independent of individual thought and
perceptible by all observers : having reality independent of the mind

Has ANY God spoken to you other than in your dreams? Is there ANY tangible,
OBJECTIVE VERIFIABLE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE for the existence of ANY Gods?
There are thousands of God beliefs. Which, if any, is the real God and which
are fakes? Have any dead relatives or friends actually communicated with
SANE people except in their dreams? Why does any real god avoid or prohibit
this communication?
Why does this all powerful creator, all loving and caring intelligent
designer, create Plagues, Tsunamis, Tornadoes, Volcanic Eruptions, Wars,
Earth Quakes, Cancers and hundreds of debilitating diseases, serious body
malfunctions and starvation? There are 12,000 known diseases that torture
and kill man. Why would this omnificent all loving, all powerful god create
all these catastrophes to torture and kill his followers??? These
catastrophes affect people of ALL religious beliefs including TOTALLY
INNOCENT CHILDREN! Is this evidence of a loving powerful God creator of the
Universe?
There is a parasitic worm in West Africa that bores through the eyes of
children
and causes total blindness for the rest of their lives. This is the work of
an
all caring and loving God???
Logic and common sense that refutes the existence of any omnipotent Gods
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then where does evil come from?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him a God?
What distinguishes theology from mythology and astrology? All three are
founded on myth,
folklore and legend. NONE are based on scientific knowledge and objective,
verifiable, reproducible evidence..
The Christian faith, and other faiths, are not founded on faith in God but
faith in MEN.
The Bibles? The Bibles were created over 1,500 years before the invention
of the printing press. Written, interpreted, hand copied, modified and
recopied by hundreds of MEN over thousands of years by MEN. Inspired by
God? So MEN say. Which books are Scripture? The ones chosen by MEN. What do
they mean? What MEN say they mean. Dictated by God? Just the OPINION of
MEN. What is God telling you? Whatever MEN (ordinary selfish. self
promoting, errant humans) CLAIM he is telling you. The Bibles are folklore,
myth, contradictory and impossible stories created by MEN. There is not one
shred of objective verifiable evidence that ANY of the Bibles are the word
of ANY God. In fact they are books of pure nonsense.
Of all the THOUSANDS of God beliefs and claims, how do we know which is the
real God and which are fakes? What MEN tell their flock is the real God???
Since no real God shows up in person, from the heavens or on International
TV to give us anything to believe in, the only option available to us is to
put our trust in what selfish errant MEN say and think about Gods. To put
one's faith in the stories, superstitions, myths and subjective thoughts and
feelings of ancient MEN is not faith in God, but faith in errant MEN. Faith
in what greedy avaricious MEN, who we have never met and have NO objective
knowledge of their veracity and honesty. Ultimately, it is faith in MEN not
God!
'IF' there is a REAL God, why does he not appear to all mankind and show he
is the real God and that all the others are fakes? Man can accurately
communicate with the whole world via TV, the Internet, Newsprint, and Radio.
Why can't any REAL god communicate with all of mankind in an equal or better
manner??? Why does the real God not inform all of mankind in a clear
unquestionable manner that he is the real God and what are his wishes and
demands? Why does any real God refuse to clear up all the confusion? Why can't
a real god smite all of the fakes and end the confusion? It appears that ALL
Gods are fakes and inventions of selfish errant MEN.
The objective evidence is rather strong that NO GODS CREATED MAN but quite
the opposite;
that MAN CREATED IMAGINARY GODS!

What 'communication'? They are dead. They have nothing to say and no
means by which they can say it. There is nothing to avoid, and nothing
to prohibit.
Why does this all powerful creator, all loving and caring intelligent
designer, create Plagues, Tsunamis, Tornadoes, Volcanic Eruptions,
Wars, Earth Quakes, Cancers and hundreds of debilitating diseases,
serious body malfunctions and starvation?
These are processes of nature - as is divinity itself.
Bear in mind that while you rail against gods in general, you are clearly
referring to one specific God. Not all gods are all-powerful creators;
not all gods are all-loving.
There are 12,000 known
diseases that torture and kill man. Why would this omnificent all
loving, all powerful god create all these catastrophes to torture and
kill his followers??? These catastrophes affect people of ALL
religious beliefs including TOTALLY INNOCENT CHILDREN!
It seems a staple belief around the world that children are somehow more
valuable than adults. "Think of the children!" or "Including CHILDREN!"
Death is death. Suffering is suffering. It is just as tragic whether it
affects a new-born, someone in middle age, or an octogenarian.
Is this evidence of a loving powerful God creator of the Universe?
No. There is no such evidence. There is only belief.
What distinguishes theology from mythology and astrology? All three
are founded on myth, folklore and legend. NONE are based on scientific
knowledge and objective, verifiable, reproducible evidence..

Of all the THOUSANDS of God beliefs and claims, how do we know which
is the real God and which are fakes? What MEN tell their flock is the
real God???
As above: the real one is the one you personally believe is real. If you
do not believe that any god is real then for you no god is real. No-
one's beliefs in religious terms are of any relevance to anyone else.
Since no real God shows up in person, from the heavens or on
International TV to give us anything to believe in, the only option
available to us is to put our trust in what selfish errant MEN say and
think about Gods.
The other option is to consider the matter and draw your own conclusion.
Following the herd is not the only choice.
People will look at the world around them and they will interpret it in a
certain way. Sometimes - quite often, in fact - they will wish to
believe that there is more to life than Get Born, Have Sex, Die. But
make no mistake: *that is all life is*.
Okay, you ostentatious atheist, you. Now let *me* tell *you* some
truths:
Life is meaningless. The only purpose of life is to continue life -there
is nothing more. There is no 'right'. There is no 'wrong'. There is no
ultimate goal for humanity. There is no destiny. There is no fate.
There is no guiding hand from above. There is no afterlife. There is
nothing to strive for. There is no hope. All who live will die;
everything we build will fall. Everyone we love we will lose, and we
will never see them again. Everything we learn will be forgotten. Our
achievements are of no consequence. Our science, our learning, our
philosophy, our ethics - all are meaningless. Every cause is already
lost; every campaign hopeless; every struggle futile.
Those are facts. Many atheists complain that religious people are using
their faith as a crutch because they can't face life without it. And
they're probably right. But everyone needs a crutch - even those very
atheists, who protest and struggle against religion because they think
they can make a better world by exterminating it. But what 'better
world' do they think they can create? There is no 'better world'. If
the atheist argument - true as it may be - is taken to its logical
conclusion then there is nothing to be gained. We are, as the vicar of
Rock Ridge once said, "just jerking off". Yet atheists show passion and
determination in their objection to religion. Why? We humans are
nothing but machines, designed to survive so that we can create the next
generation of machines, whose only purpose will be to survive to create
the next generation. No-one is going to thank us for doing it. There
will be no reward. There is no purpose in doing it.
So religion gives us a way to kid ourselves that our lives mean
something. You may consider that evil, or weak. But before you reply,
just consider what YOU believe. Think about the things that're important
to you. Maybe it's a political viewpoint. Maybe it's charity. Maybe
you just want to help the less fortunate, or maybe you want to be rich.
Whatever it is, it's no less a crutch to help you through the
meaninglessness of life than religion is for those who follow that.
You're just closing the curtains to shut out the darkness, and trying to
convince yourself that the little light in your tiny room is going to
burn forever. It won't.

Why not take this demand to its logical conclusion and ban beliefs
altogether? Putting aside the fact that, your melodramatic performance
notwithstanding, no-one is 'arming nukes' at the moment, people go to
war for all sorts of reasons. Probably including the fact that too
many people are as excitable as you and can't bring themselves to take
a step back and consider things rationally.
Logically, every subject that has ever been blamed (rightly or not) for
any sort of conflict or injustice should also be banned. Politics must
be banned. Business must be banned. To stop at religion would
indicate that, far from being driven by a righteous concern for
humanity in general, your demand is in fact motivated by a
self-righteous contempt for those who hold to a different belief system
than you do. And like too many others, you're willing to accept only
what you already believe: that religion, which you hate, is all that is
evil in the world. You don't see the vast majority of religious people
who AREN'T 'arming nukes'. You don't bother about the vast majority of
people for whom religion is something personal to them and perhaps to
their families - they don't count, because they don't fit neatly in the
pigeonhole you've set aside to dump all religious people into.
And besides, do you *genuinely* believe that once religion is gone,

Why not take this demand to its logical conclusion and ban beliefs
altogether? Putting aside the fact that, your melodramatic performance
notwithstanding, no-one is 'arming nukes' at the moment, people go to
war for all sorts of reasons. Probably including the fact that too
many people are as excitable as you and can't bring themselves to take
a step back and consider things rationally.
Logically, every subject that has ever been blamed (rightly or not) for
any sort of conflict or injustice should also be banned. Politics must
be banned. Business must be banned. To stop at religion would
indicate that, far from being driven by a righteous concern for
humanity in general, your demand is in fact motivated by a
self-righteous contempt for those who hold to a different belief system
than you do. And like too many others, you're willing to accept only
what you already believe: that religion, which you hate, is all that is
evil in the world. You don't see the vast majority of religious people
who AREN'T 'arming nukes'. You don't bother about the vast majority of
people for whom religion is something personal to them and perhaps to
their families - they don't count, because they don't fit neatly in the
pigeonhole you've set aside to dump all religious people into.
And besides, do you *genuinely* believe that once religion is gone,
everything will be just peachy? We're human (even those of us who
claim, for some reason, to be chickens) - we're possessed of enormous
ingenuity when it comes to finding excuses to kill each other. Do you
really believe that when you've imposed your ban, and denied every
human the right to make their own judgements about what meaning they're
going to pretend life has, everyone's going to sit down together and
sing happy songs of peace and harmony? You're dreaming. When religion
is gone, another excuse will appear in its place. And it is naive in
the extreme to imagine that the current favourite excuse as used by a
tiny minority of people is the limit of human creativity.
