AMERICA COMES OF AGE; DECEMBER 7, 1941
Why the call is to wakeup while it is still today
To Read: Matthew 7-9
To Know:
"But as to the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need to have
anything written to you. For you yourselves know well that the day of the
Lord will come like a thief in the night. When people say 'There is peace
and security,' then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes
upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape."
(1 Thess. 5:1-3)
"No matter what happens, the U.S. Navy is not going to be caught napping."
This boast uttered on December 4, 1941 proves just how blind to the truth we
human beings can be. In only 3 days later the military bases on Oahu were
turned into a hellish inferno. That confident claim was made when 230 miles
north of Oahu there were assembled 2 battleships, 2 cruisers, 11 destroyers,
28 submarines, and 6 carriers with 423 airplanes on board. 72 hours later
this formidable force unleashed its fury against thousands of unsuspecting
sailors and soldiers stationed in Hawaii.
Multiplied millions of human beings now alive are sleeping through a
spiritual revolution of cosmic proportions. God is presently recreating his
world. The first creation began by ordering the physical world as a place
fit for the man and the woman he designed in his image. The new creation
begins with a new man and will be finished when the physical order is fit
for him. The new man is Jesus Christ who is the "last Adam." (1 Cor. 15:45)
For this reason we read that, "Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a
new creation." (2 Cor. 5:17) When Christ has revealed all those for whom he
died by giving them faith, then the physical order will follow by being
recreated to suit the needs of eternal men and women. Paul explained this
plan for the new creation to the Romans, "I consider that the sufferings of
this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be
revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing
of the sons of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its
own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope; because the
creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the
glorious liberty of the children of God." (Rom 8:18-21) The call of God is
to wake up while it is still today and unite to Jesus Christ by faith.
