wonder if he has not crossed the line and been written off by

What's all this thread about? Everyone knows that the Christian Festival of
Christmas was superimposed on the traditional midwinter/winter solstice
celebrations, particularly in northern Europe where the nights are dark. No
wonder we light lights and stoke up our fires, cheer ourselves up with
parties and merry-making. It gets us through the darkest part of the year.
The nativity is a nice fairy tale that came along later and now plays quite
an attractive part. But you don't take it any more seriously than good old
Santa!

My own congregation also superimposes (I suppose that word is as good
as any) our own "Fall Festival" over Halloween, with food, games and
treats for the kids so that they can have a fun time, but not
participate in Halloween.
The nativity is a nice fairy tale that came along later and now plays quite
an attractive part.
Parts of the nativity scene as it is shown at Christmas are indeed
inaccurate. But the central theme is not. It is very real.
But you don't take it any more seriously than good old
Santa!
Speak only for yourself, boy. Speak only for yourself. For us
Christians, we certainly DO take the birth of Jesus seriously. I am
sorry about you!

If you have proof of him NOT teaching scripture then provide it,
as your word alone is NOT good enough. Truth is established in the mouth
of two or three witnesses, your witness alone caries the same weight as
a lie, and you know full well this is true.
As for judjing my salvation and "what" I am, that is for God to see
and not YOU, and the last time I looked your name wasn't JESUS !
I also looked at the post I was referring to very closely, and there
was ZERO indication that what christian had and was doing was against
scripture, or morally wrong, and found NOTHING in his statements to
verify the validity of your accusations.

so it does. But the something else in Christmas is not so difficult

Clause.

told them about the true reason that we celebrate Christmas. They grew
up
enjoying the lights and other things, but they grew up knowing that
Santa
Clause is a fairy tale, and that Jesus Christ is real.
That is funny! Santa is a fairy tale, yet, Jesus is real.
Ok, show me your "jesus" or your "god".
Prove it.
Why should I prove Jesus is real, you can not even prove to me that He is
not. I have experienced His reality. So you can never prove to me that He is
not real.

house. It's life has been sacrificed, and lost from nature.
They then dress it so pretty (as in our house), with so many
lights, and
bulbs, and put a guiding star or angel on top. And there are many
presents (often wrapped in glistening _red_) scattered beneath the
tree...
DO YOU STILL NOT SEE IT?!
I know, Christmas is purposed by man to honor the birth of Christ,
and
so it does. But the something else in Christmas is not so
difficult
to see. This despite all those 'pastors' who are so obviously
blind and hard-hearted, for their vision is so seriously blocked
by something.

Did you remember to tell them that Christ was most likely born sometime in
the spring?

Did you remember to tell them that Christ was most likely born sometime in
the spring?
No because I did not learn this until years later, but as they are now
adults I am sure that I have discussed this with them. I will have to ask my
daughted and son when I talk to them again.
