Yet more beautiful scripture |
John 1:1-5 KJVR
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing
made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness
comprehended it not.
The Word of God is such a sweet thing of amazing beauty! Praise God!
Praise His only begotten Son Jesus Christ who willingly suffered and
died to save us from our sins!

The Bible can't be "the Word" because the scriptures didn't exist at the
beginning, yet Christians seem to think it is.

But you also mention "The Word of God".
Yes, there's the inspired _written_ Word of God (the Bible), and then
there's Christ, who was called the Word, saying to us exactly what God
wanted Him to say,
John 7:16-17 KJVR
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but
his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine,
whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
John 12:49 KJVR
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent
me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should
speak.
and showing us how to live exactly like God wanted us to live.

"The Word" and "The Word of God" are two different things. Just like
in any language, often the same word or phrase can mean different
things, and we must taken it in context and learn more about
everything else said to figure out what it means.

The Bible can't be "the Word" because the scriptures didn't exist at the
beginning,
Actually the Word did exist in the beginning: God knew exactly what
would be in the scripture, so the Word existed in the beginning. It
wasn't until it was put into the Bible that it was mankind that
finally knew exactly what the Word of God was.

Aren't you Christians just a bit confused?
If you consider that possibility that the confusion just might, by
some remote chance be yours, you'd be more open to discover what's
really going on where God is concerned.
The thing I love about these sorts of questions is it clarifies God's
Word to me even more as I dig deeper into it on these topics to think
about those questions and formulate answers to them out of His Word.
