must have awakened everybody.
The airport isn't THAT close from here. For a second I thought it was
about to crash.

When I lived in Illinois we were near an Air Force Base. Those big ***** cargo
planes would come in really low as they started to land. I swear it looked
as if they were barely gonna clear the trees. Use to scare the ***** out of
me all the time. The fighter planes would do the same thing. Those things
are incredibly loud.

Where I live, a couple times a week the route for the UP'S planes is right
over my house, and they fly really really low, too. I just really, really
hate it! There is one every three minutes and it scares me no end, and I cower
in my house all night long until it's over.
I can imagine the fear the planes and helcopters must put into the hearts of
the ppl in Iraq.

like a spherical light in the sky and I thought "oh well, at least
they're here to save us".
turned out to be earthbased aircraft, of course.
one day something'll come along to explain it.

It was an instant of doubt ("why the heck is it flying SO low?!!!"), too
short to think of anything concrete. The risk is there, but I don't
think it's worth much worrying at this moment.
