It may be that this just has been a hard year with a lot of work, and that the
continuing work combined with move is throwing me.
Maria and I walked a long way today, her on her roller blades and me on my
scooter, way over to the other side of campus we went feeding geese, ducks,
piegons, and funny looking black birds on the way -- hoards of birds
everywhere, babies too. The Maria took me to this field -- larger than a
field, like a vast pasture where cows are and a narrow path that she says will
take you to town if you go far enough. Warm wind blowing, heather (rows
sprouting in huge clusters everywhere) sawying from the wind, that sweet spring
smell and just her and me. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect thrilling but
peaceful moments.
Now I am back at this computer screen facing Aquinas' de Malo and my stomach is
churning again. Damn I was fine in the field! But I am going to work here
stomach or no stomach. It is a gift I have been given to be able to do this
research and I treat it the last few days with ingratitude.
Okay -- to work. Hope all is well with everyone.
Rosena
