So got up and been able to work for last three hours or so. But very behind in
lesson plans because of this damn thesis. Just read a story from 1411 in Paris
where a man is beheaded, and when executioner asks for forgiveness before he
does his deed (which was custom) the man did him one better and asked his
executioner to kiss him. The crowd was "reduced to hot tears."
What is our history (say 1950-2050) going to say? Will we seem to "different"
and exotic as these medieval people sound?
Its rainning. Off for cigs. in a moment and have to fight with ex about money.
I can't WAIT to get my first paycheck (July 15th). I am going to go on a
shopping spree with Maria just once to feel the fun again of going "ahhh,
ouhhhh" and being carefree.
I hope there is no attack today. Thinking of you all.
