Good and bad:
Bad: WHOEVER said gall bladder surgery was a breeze??????? Pain, upset
stomach, pain, can't hold food, pain . . .you get picture. But what
annoys me is having to go to pdoc today for regular appointment. I say
nothing to this man -- he is, to me, simply the drug man who I am
forced to see so he writes a script. He, on the other hand, thinks he
is more than a drug man and he says stupid (I mean truly ill thought
out) and vapid things. Oh well, at least can get my drugs -- right?
Good: YAY -- I got extension on getting grades in!!!! And just got a
library book called Chronciles of England written in 1450 -- can't wait
to see it (going to pick it up) looking for more executions! (yes,
morbid search) to beef up this thesis into an article. I LOVVVEEE
these old chronciles of people's lives.
Okay -- off on scooter in this bright snow day to face the world.

Sometimes they do that on purpose, act like airheads. Similar to the way
surgeons and general practitioners lie about what they refer to as
"procedures."

Stinky old books, they either smell of rot or preservative. All to be
powder someday, blowing in the wind.

There is snow here too. Bites.
I've got a new keyboard though, special one for arthritis. It's real
tiny and has very little key travel and pressure. The keys are big, kind
of strangely angled and all very close together.
And soon I have to go through the snow to go herb shopping. Ran out of
mint, passion flower, california poppy and catnip and could use some
chamomile too. Off to granola-land. haha

Ah, yes. When they bare the ice with a big steel plow make it all
skating-smooth.

Oh, it does. It's great. It's the scissor-switch kind and it's compact,
but the keytops are fullsize, so there is no stretching for key
combinations. It's called a PSK-3300. The keys don't travel very far and
are light to press. There is another kind that has zero-force and no
travel, no keys at all, but it doesn't have conventional layout and
costs five times as much, so I chose this one. The zero-force one is
called a Touchstream. Maybe when this one wears out, I'll get one of
those, when USB is more universal. The one I got can be used on older
computers too, the Touchstream can't.

It was a bum trip. All the herbs were old. I'll have to do another one
and go to a part of town where people are fussier and use more herbs
anyway. I got fooled by the fake granola posers. haha At least I got a
nice mala out of the trip though.

Same medication for years so no-brainer. Though we are switching
zyprexa to geodon to help weight issue . . .so we will see. I know I
am being bitchy. It hit it off wrong with me when he told me he liked

is more interesting or more "deep" with educated people. Jerk . . .

I was kept on the same kinds of medication from 1989 to 2003. Some of
them actually made my condition worse. It wasn't until I got a
psychiatrist who was really into biopharmacology and was willing to do
challenges that I finally got something different and it actually was
the last resort, the 'wild' guess. And even then, the guess was wrong,
but it still led to a truly effective medication.

hahaha. Do you suppose he would tell street people the same thing or
something different?

If that is his attitude, go somewhere else. A lot of people drawn to
both psychiatry and psychology are just plain fucking nuts in the first
place and they used school to deal with it.

Yeah, but he may not even believe what he said, he may have just been
trying to make you feel better in the client/caregiver relationship and
screwed up.
Oh I know. Preserve them all I say!! And that lovely smell of age (not

It's acid rot. Rot, rot, rot. All organic things must rot. Or burn.
Burning is good too. Especially when it's cold outside.
This is great! Hope it works for you. How are legs??
They're okay, but I have to start looking for a cane. The one I have has
a contour grip and the deformity on my hand makes it so that I won't be
able to use it, bone growth on the inside of the joints. I have to get
one that I can two-finger and use a strap. There's a nice one made in
England that they'll ship, but I want to look around some more because
I've seen two other interesting designs and would like to know where to
get them, what they weigh, that sort of thing. haha I have a really nice
one, just right, but it is actually a work-of-art, a sculpture that is
also a cane, and my mother does not want to part with it. haha So it is
on the other side of the continent decorating a room.
My my, what a list. No cookies, canned fruit, candy-bars?? How is
home life? Everyone cool?? Are you taking pictures??
Everything and everyone seems okay to me. No pictures though. Nothing to
show, nothing to hang onto. Maybe someday I will have something to
explain, but not right now.

Hi Lisa,
Like I told Cindy, just getting out did me a world of good. Do you try
to get out sometimes just to clear cobwebs? It can sure help. Lucked
out and school had four old book loans for me. One is a Latin text
written in 1272 all about the revolution in criminal procedure (from
ordeal proof to more modern notion of evidence rules). Sounds dull, I
am sure, but I am excited to have it to try to translate --
hope your day is good Lisa

You know Cindy it is so funny, but little things can make such big
differences. I haven't been outside for about two weeks and getting
out to do errands just made me feel GREAT! Just the air,
driving/scooting seeing people, doing stuff. Probably been "off" these
last few days from just plain isolation and not being able to do much.
I really love the damn world. It is such a unrelenting, mysterious,
sometimes ugly, often beautiful, strange neat place.
