Two completely unrelated things that will interest no one.
1. I am truly a compulsive/obsessive woman. I could not start any work
today unless I had my special pens to write with. Multi color uni-ball
vision elite fine point liquid. Mind you they sell these only way way
away across town. But I had to get in the car, lamely explain to ex
why I had to work with only this particular brand and go get them.
Then I had to get in addition little color stick tabs to mark pages in
books and a tiny gloss black tape dispenser . . . I am out of my head.
Why must things be only a certain way for me to feel any stability??
2. Still having problems concentrating for diverted by a) worrying
about future b) feeling overwhelmed with this article since now must
get through Anselm's Fall of the Devil as well as other relevant
theodicies, and c) NOT prepared for class.
3. There should be a third that is about something neat, racy, of high
interest . . .but there isn't. Need a valium. Miss John. Wish he'd
drop dead. I'd die if he did. Ten years of emotional insanity has got
to be enough, you think?

I have...err...had a John. Last I heard he was touring Europe with his
wife....
I can't leave a store without buying markers. Any store. Every store. If
I leave without buying coloured markers something terrible will happen. I'm
sure of it. Now I have about 1800 markers in a giant plastic bin and no
idea what to do with them or where to put them. This is a ridiculous way to
live.

I'm still interested in #1.
1. ... Multi color uni-ball vision elite fine point liquid.
looked a bit for these but didn't find any. but it was quite late.
do these have flat tops or rounded tops or little bulges on top?
Flat top pens seem to work better for me than round tops.
I really like Pilot(tm) Precise roller ball Extra Fine pens.
Sometimes I settle for somewhat cheaper ones from an OfficeBorg
in packs of five or six.
I really wish I could get a refillable pen of this sort. I have
one that took cartridges but its too thick for me now and I can't
find the cartridges any more anyway.
Then I had to get in addition little color stick tabs to mark pages in
books
it can be a real bonus to buy a used book with little color coded
stickers... it's fun to try and suss out what the colors meant.

that's a good word for this "particular"
and nowadays it's almost a suspect trait to be "particular" about
many things... this was discussed in the essay about Maine cooking
by John Thorne (I can't recall the book title. It wasn't his first
book; three traits, generosity, frugality and particularity, once
easily reconciled, now less so...)
one of the more accomplished academics I knew of an earlier
generation was quite particular about a number of things; would
rebind the telephone book to his liking, etc.

OHHHHH -- don't feel like you are a lazy evil b*tch! Boy, I had
several years there of no movement in my body, just laying curled up in
a ball for sometimes 17 hours at a stretch either wailing or stone
silent in mind numbing pain. You are just going through your period.
But the way you post on ASD, the little things, like how you phrase
certain things suggests to me that you are fesity and full of capacity
for whatever is your particular battle -- it will be so when you are
ready. DON'T be hard on you!!
I am so glad there is another particular-pen person out there!!
Best
Rosena
