Feeling down, had tests all day on my heart. Utlra sound, this horrible
stress test with fluid shot through my blood stream that made me feel
as if I was having a heart attack, pictures in a MRI semi-machine . .
..on and on. I find out Friday morning if I am cleared for the surgery.
I feel . . .I don't know how I feel . . . as if there just isn't a way
to a good stable joyful life for Maria and I (she is doing terrible in
school) and truth is a lot of problem is energy so I can't keep up with
life's demands.
Caught in headlights, don't know how to make things better in a
practical step by step way.

After thirteen operations, they don't bother me, to the extent that I
asked for (and got) a local for my last op, my toe jobs. One of the
locals didn't take until I was back in the ward. At least, with a
general anaesthetic, you don't have that problem.

After a day like that, even the most buoyant and bouncy person would be
stressed out and scared.
