I now maintain program startup icons in the task bar, not on the
desktop itself...so I can click on them even when in another
application...that's made me more efficient and for that you have my
gratitude.

Handy, certainly. What I find interesting though is that it's from the
guys who developed the Windows shell so even they knew it was lacking
some real power user controls for some of the more esoteric stuff. Given
the *dangerous* nature of such control I'm surprised that it doesn't
come from another source like sysinternals...with Microsoft providing
only KB articles on which PITA registry entries to change.

i like sysinternals, use process explorer and some little ditty that goes
with Power Defrag UI, best damn defragger i've ever had.........and the
Process Explorer is great for hung apps or seeing whats sucking CPU
