-grimI envy the beautiful youth.... |
It hit me again today, this feeling of... I dunno sadness combined
with envy and maybe jealousy... I was in a video store returned a
movie w hen I happened to glance at a display rack where they had
several movies for sale. One of them was called Tuck Everlasting, a
Disney film about some young girl who finds a family full of people
(including a young boy her age) who discovered a fountain of youth
type thing.
I stared at the cover, which held pictures of the two young stars and
I couldn't help but feel depressed. I just can't help but wonder what
that'd would have (would be) like.. to be young and so beautiful.
God.. the girl's so pretty, boy so handsome... I know, I know, it's
partly cause of the photographing techniques and lighting and blah,
blah, blah.. but still. Even without make-up, bet it would break to
see them.
I just wonder what that'd be like.. to be young and so lovely to look
at. For me (being a guy) it'd be to be handsome, have girls blush
when you smile a them, and giggle behind her back (and not the
malicious kind of giggle.) To experience a first love (that is, when
you love someone and they actually lvoe you back), first kiss... God,
I've never even been kissed. How pathetic is that?
I'm not that old really... only 27, and yes, I know there are those a
decade or two older who would look at me and hate me for MY youth, and
I try to live in the now and not think about what I didn't have in my
past, but still...
Sometimes...
God I envy the beautiful youth.
Does that make sense to anyone else?
Just curious...
