You have so much to do - and know you can do it - bit it takes real
concrete organization. And the organizing is paralyzing you. You know,
grouping, categorizing, putting B after A and deciding which is which??
I have this mass of books - primary and secondary - like a hundred -
that I need to not only read but "treat" and approach in taking
organized notes that make sense in a logical form and my head right now
is mush. Mush, I tell you.
Maria and I are going to library in a bit and air will be excellent. We
have a story book where a woman read and read and had so many books
that they stacked floor to ceiling, were tables, blocked doors,
surrounded furniture on every inch of space towering over her head.
Finally there were just too many books and so she gave her house to
city as a library and moved in with friend and they read together all
day going back and forth to "new" library. Just a small child's story
but Maria and I really like it. Someday that is going to happen to us.
That would be coooool.

None of my stuff requires me to organize anything... it just requires me
to get up off of my ***** and do it. Which is apparently asking too much.

ah um the second part is the tough one sometimes.

- bit it takes real
concrete organization. And the organizing is paralyzing you. You know,

yup. in really basic stuff, like sweeping the floor sometimes.

I have this mass of books - primary and secondary - like a hundred -
that I need to not only read but "treat" and approach in taking
organized notes that make sense in a logical form and my head right now
is mush. Mush, I tell you.

write down the title for each on a piece of notebook paper.
(or cards, sheets of paper are bigger.)

and print out a list of the books.
write down some key stuff on the book as you peruse it
on the paper. make check mark(s) on the list (different
marks, for e.g. 1st reading, "got it conceptually" and "nailed it"
if some book is really eluding you, look for a secondary
source on that book.

Probably an independent invention but IIRC Gene Wolfe wrote
a short like that which many think was inspired by the
Hasford arrest.

No -- throw them in trash and throw away great stuff. Just hard to do.
Contrarian had it right though - that was a good organization plan.
Hope you are well
