Unreal! I can't remember a storm like it. The hail was quite large and
the wind blew for all it's worth. We were very lucky really. My
daughter's car is dented and our roof leaked but that's about it.

You too! It's a little cooler here at the moment and I am so enjoying
the break from the heat. Have you been watching the cricket?

it was a bit of a slug fest in the end
well, for us anyway
bit of a drop fest for the other side!
commentary from the players is bizarre
not sure about the format really
here's to cooler days!

hi Gayle
yes it could well be
but it has to be worth it
with the right $'s and perks
after that last little episode (with the doc)
and the pressures that were involved
i really am now looking for an easier
way to make a living
am keeping the biz going
just to keep options open
coz that big project
may still happen,
as it happens!
we'll see what happens ..
trust things are going good for you

At first I thought 'doc' meant 'doctor'
and I tried to remember you posting
about an episode. But then 'document'
came out from the fog of my brain. hee.

Sometimes the independent gig is almost
the same as having 2 fulltime jobs. One
of the jobs is getting the work. Yeah,
there are easier ways, and I hope yer on
to one.

Things are good -- I'm annoyed with at
least 3 clients, so that keeps me in a
jolly mood. Really.

hey yeah, i didn't think of that did i
and the wording was sorta supporting
the meaning being doctor (episode)
guess doc made the end of lines flow better
and that's the way i like to type sentences

yes, there are the 2 sides (and that's
not counting book keeping being a 3rd)
but IF yu get one major project then
that's 1 less job - for a time at least

just wanted to fill you in
on that doc and how
it has done a lot to
keep us in line
for the contract
in a modified form
the work would be
shared by another lot
but it will still be well worth
more than a bit, if it goes ahead
the episode with the doc,
may yet have been worth the effort
i'll let you know if anything does come of it
(offcourse) coz i'll sure be rapt if it does
i've decided i'd rather
be working for myself
it dawned on me today
wasn't hard to work out
if only it was possible
to keep the customers
under control

we live in SA
no cyclones around ere
i did live there up the coast in cyclone country for a while
and we used to track the cyclones on wall maps with pins
one year it kept going down the coast towards Perth
and we kept saying 'no way will it make it all the way'
it did, and kept going even further south as well
there were a lot of pins on the wall for that one
highly unusual for them to go that far south

*
one day series coming up now
there seems to be a lot more cricket in general threse days
which is probably due to the way it has been 'popularised'
that's something we'd have to give due credit to Murdock for
it's interesting to see the tv rights to aussie rules football
being divided between 7 & 10 coz 9's bid was probably
one of the last things Murdock was involved in
now we can credit him for raising the value of the tv rights

here's to cooler days!

Of course. Now I remember.

i did live there up the coast in cyclone country for a while
and we used to track the cyclones on wall maps with pins

I'm a bit mad about the weather. I like to watch the radar when the
storms are rolling in and stand outside looking at the clouds. (but
secretly I am mostly afraid of the big storms. I think it's just my
way of training myself out of the fear)

one year it kept going down the coast towards Perth
and we kept saying 'no way will it make it all the way'

it did, and kept going even further south as well
there were a lot of pins on the wall for that one

I bet!

30 isn't too bad, but it's the humidity that's really getting to me.
Like for instance now it's only 24.4 but the humidity is 90% so you
don't have to do much to work up a sweat. I don't mind the dry heat.
In fact it's rather lovely.
