Today is day to focus on Roman punishment paper - very interested in it
due to book I read that spoke to way condemned restored honor in the
arena by choosing to not resist being thrown to beasts. Complicated
strong warrior ethos in works of Senca etc. on this image. The Roman
ethic reminds me of Warf and Klingons.
Very foreign but thrilling stuff - heroic.
Maria is rummaging through my old necklaces and rings, asking question
about her great-grandmother (a bootlegger and well known Italian
actress during depression in New York City) and her name sake (an
adventureous actress too), and hopefully day will be easy.
She told me she is still cutting but has slowed down. Her therapy went
well it seems, at least she came out full of energy.
