Well, 11 hours later, and 5 reinstalls, and 1 virus scan, and all I had
to do is just *delete a file* and re-install ( forcing it to actually
put a damn replacement file there, since it likes to just skip-over
stuff thats already there ).
Live and learn...

my Opera browser would even try to sign in.
I got it fixed now though after 4 failed re-installs.
I dont want to hear anything more about security or certificates for a long
time though LOL

well, i got DOS 6.2
not good for much these days,
except for what it's there for
(specialised legacy stuff)
tell you what though, it's rock solid stable!

Curious; G2 works OK with my Opera (7.54, Linux). You do need to turn on
'javascript' to get the 'view as tree' option to work (insofar as it works
at all). My default cookies setting for Opera is 'all cookies are session
cookies', which seems to work on all sites (but of course means that any
cookie-based site preferences or passwords are lost when you shut down
Opera).
