Comrades of our past were they,
Of that unreturning day.
Changed and aging, they and we
Dwelt, it seemed, in sympathy.
Alway from their presence broke
Somewhat which remembrance woke
Of the loved, the lost, the young--
Yet they died, and died unsung.

I'd forgotten that this was the day. I was wondering what Nick was writing
about.
God, that was horrible, eh rj? What an awful night.

I thought of him today, as I do occasionally at other times... he
was a really sweet, good hearted person... I certainly hope he is at
peace now, wherever he is...

I thought of him, and wished peace for his spirit.
And I thought of those of us who were here at that time,
especially rj. And I wished peace for all of us, especially rj.
