I can't believe that nut walked into Britney's hospital room and
thought it was a good idea. The LAST thing she needs is more
Hollywood hoopla, what a joke. She's going through what a lot of us
have gone through, she has some form of mental illness and a substance
abuse problem, it's not as sad and tragic and the media would make it
seem, or the helicotper pics portray. She needs some normal therapy
with some normal people with some normal issues...
You know, Britney may be lucky to have had all this attention, she
couldn't hide her demons like I know I did until they were more
serious.

As a courtroom psychologist hired to size up the opposition,
he's pretty good at seeing a person's base problem quickly. It's
his solutions, based on fixing everything equally quickly, that
he's not so good at.

Because there's no way he could fix psychosis or mood disorders
in fifteen minutes, and it won't work to send us to one of his
"farms" to straighten us out.

I can't either. My older son sometimes watches his show, but
puts him on the same level as Judge Judy, who follows. I skip
afternoon tv altogether.

I like Judge Joe Brown because he's got such a good BS detector and my
friend was on his show. Otherwise, I watch the news and cartoons in the
day.

I don't get any news until 5, and no cartoons. I'm not sure if
it's good or bad not having cable or satellite.

I get four channels. Not sure what we'll do when everything goes
digital. We bought a digital receiver to try out, but all we
could get was one station, and it was in Spanish.

Yeah, digital transmission is shorter distance, and you can never get
poor reception. You either get a good picture or no picture at all.

We get the analog we do now with a huge directional antenna, a
rotator and a power booster. When it goes digital, we're
screwed. The stations we watch are broadcast 60-70 miles from
here.

Go with sattelite, or just give up on t.v., you can get just about
whatever you need on the internet. I caught up on all of LOST just
buying episodes on iTunes for $1.99. And I'm getting more into
podcasts, you pick your content instead of a slave to the cable lineup
or your dvr programming.

Except that all that's available here for internet's dial-up.
No broadband except for the center of town, since they just
set the library up with wireless and the houses on the common
can use it. I don't look at anything on youtube now, since
it's so painfully slow to download. There's no way I'd
download tv or movies.

you'll have more options before everything goes digital as far as

Some people do that. They keep the service in fall and winter, and
suspend it all spring and summer. Some people get big DVR's and record
as much as they can when they have reception, and watch the recorded
shows when they can't get a signal.

Yep. At least with DirecTV you can. You can suspend it nine months out
of the year. Lots of people get it for their RV's and only activate it
while they're on the road in the summer. Even if you've got a contract
you can do it.

He didn't have a serious background as a therapist. He was a
crack courtroom shrink. He probably hadn't heard most of a
