Sharon Christa McAuliffe - teacher

I was in high school when I heard about this. I remember coming to my
6th hour science class after lunch and thinking someone was making a
bad joke.

Thank you for a timely reminder. This is one of the events that hurts no less over
time--just less often. Every person who has any hope for space was injured that day.
I had a crush on Judith Resnick (Ph.D.) She was so cute, and so very intelligent; yet,
unmarried. Her credentials went far beyond that of a mere doctorate degree.
Typical of astronauts, all were special in unique ways.
