60 TURBINE WIND FARM |
coming to a town near me ,
I wonder if I could build my own windmill ,
I'm sure I could make one good enough to charge a few batteries ,
I just have to find the centre of the woman I live with and give her a spin
.

I drove through some giant area in CA with a lot of those, it was some
kind of mtn pass. I think it's a pretty famous area for wind
turbines...it was neat looking.
They're building some in europe that have blades themselves which boggle
the mind. I think they're for 2kW turbines. 1 kW is the current big 'uns.

i saw some when i was cruising I-80 it might have been Cal ,
but i think it was east of that , maybe Nebraska , anyway ,
there's a few scattered around Canada , but if this plan for 60 goes ,
i think it will be the biggest one in the country

it's on 580, a bit south of I 80. Go from San Fran south a bit, then
east through Livermore. You could go east to I5, then north to hit
I-80

i saw a large group of what i believe were wind turbines for hydro purposes

Must be a different bunch, then. There are a few I know of, but
Altamont would be the clostest to that part of the state that I can
think of. Others I know of are further south.
Carson City and Reno are North and East of Sac.

It might have been I-80, I was driving from SF to Las Vegas I
believe.
Altamont pass? there are a bunch there.
where's that , is it near I-80
it's on 580, a bit south of I 80. Go from San Fran south a bit, then
east through Livermore. You could go east to I5, then north to hit
I-80
I was doing the I-5 thing, so that would probably be it.
me too , north on 5 from Sac
Yea it would have been somewhere around there.
I hate Sacramento.
i was only there for a few hours but i wasn't impressed
.

That just means cheap energy and twice as much eagle.
I prefer them out by the ocean so they can whack around a bunch of nasty
seagulls.
