i was reminded just this arvo of how most of the newer breed of AV gear
(TVs, DVDs etc) can not be operated much at all without a remote. You might
(if your lucky) be able to adjust the volume, but don't expect to tweak the
brightness or anything like that. If you were thinking of tuning your new
fang dangled shiny thing to your local stations without a remote, then
forget it. What on earth were you thinking anyway??
