analyzing other people |
Sometimes we have images and memories and colors and voices, in
our heads from a long time ago... We feel that we need to "borrow"
from these times in our lives.. It helps give us a better sense of who
we are... Sometimes though you wonder what the memories and images
are trying to tell you... why do we remember certain things and not
others? why is so much of the past a blur? sometimes other people's
personalties seem to intrude on your own personality, you hear them in
your thoughts, or you dream about them at night... and then sometimes
you spend a lot of time analyzing people, including on ASD... you try
to make sense of who they are, and of their relationships with other
people, sometimes you feel jealous of their relationships... I guess
jealousy is normal and natural, I've felt jealous of people for
various reasons, people have felt jealous of me for various reasons,
but there's always something very dad about jealousy, in my view, it
seems like a very good idea to try and get past it... and when we
analyze other people and their personalities, there may be some degree
of truth to our observations, but we will certainly miss a lot,
paticularly on the internet... there is only so much we can know about
people on the internet...I guess you can't let people define who
you... not everyone is going to like you... we are all just sharing
parts of ourselves... you can't let other people define who you are as
a person...

When more neurons are synapsing, that's the path your mind will take.
Your brain is composed of electrical impulses based of paths of least
resistence (What I first think I am, I will one day be...) These
message paths where synapse gaps are fired, are like a path you
continually take through a forest. It is the path of least resistence
called an "engram" or imprinted circuit board that can only be changed
via constant conscious repetition to make a new live "imprint" or path
for you to take that may not fully construct for 3 months or so and
requires disciplin: eg: Learning not to swear all the time... Or
pating you head and rubbing your tummy at the saame time. It like how
you get to Carnagie Hall. Practice.

Hi Jordy,
You're a very introspective sort, aren't you? It would be interesting
to spend an evening discussing philosophy with you.
But... "... something very dad [sic] about jealousy?" Do you have
father issues? ;-)

Hi Jordy,

yeah, as I was just saying to Mark, when you are in your own world
a lot, you develop a rich inner life... I'm also a "4" on the
enneagram, I have a romantic temperament, which may be a problem
sometimes in that I tend to romantasize depression and mental ilness
etc... unfortunaly, I wouldn't be good at discussing philospohy... I
kind of briefly skim books about philosophy, and I did get a "B" in a
philosphy course I took, but still I don't know much about it... I'd
love if it people recommended philosophy books for me to read...
But... "... something very dad [sic] about jealousy?" Do you have

yeah, I do, mother issues as well... I hope that there will come a
time when I feel no jealousy of others, and others jealousy of me
won't bother me at all...

All philosophy is thinking and you seem to be pretty good at that. The
only reason to read philosophy is to learn what someone else is
thinking.
