yes i have one that scrolls and i have a second one that i can scroll
manually and the manual one has a feature that tells me what the program is
about by the way have you ever seen the christmas mountain in Salida

RCA made some TV's with "TVGuide Plus" but that's now defunct and had
been for some time. Did you know that a cable or satellite receiver
properly connected will pick up the channel guide even if you don't have
service? It's neat!

Yeah, and you know what sucks? When the original tv remote gives out and
you get one of those universal remotes, it's not universal for the scrolly
programmy thing! And that really sucks! We used to use that a lot and now
we can't. It's sad. Back to checking the newspaper tv guide thinger, which
is *so* twentieth century.

Ohhhh, you mean one of those cable channels specifically designed to be a
sort of tv guide? So you can just tune in that one channel and get the
schedule and previews of upcoming shows?
We don't have cable here but once one of Fred's friends lent us the use of
their cabin on an Arizona mountain (during Christmas season too!), and you
know how it is in places like that -- you've got cable or dish or you don't
have reception. There was a channel like that and it was cool. I watched
it a lot just to marvel at how much stuff you can get with dish/cable.
We're totally Ma and Pa Kettle with our little antennae compared to that
cool stuff.

i remember using coat hangers and tinfoil to get a signal ,
a 60 dollar black and white tv that i had to finance ,
my one bedroom apartment for an outrageous 160.00 a month
