A Mesa mother with a previous conviction for attempted child abuse was
arrested Friday after witnesses said she struck her 10-year-old son in
the face and head at a Wal-Mart.
Tina Lynn Tatum, 28, was arrested by Mesa police on suspicion of child
abuse after four witnesses saw her hit her son several times and then
drag him by his feet at about 12:30 p.m. at the Wal-Mart, 1955 S.
Stapley Dr., Mesa, police said.

By his *feet*?!? In front of people? There's a case for the nation's
psychiatric journals, among other things.
