ANOTHER REASON TO DRINK BEER |
Because I'm a man, when the car isn't running very well, I will pop the hood
and stare at the engine as if I know what I'm
looking at. If another man shows up, one of us will say to the other, "I
used to be able to fix these things, but now with all these
computers and everything, I wouldn't, know where to start." We will then
drink a beer.

My car doesn't have any computer in it. It's a '69 VW Beetle. So
I start with the points/dwell/timing after looking for loose things
(there aren't many things that can be loose in a Beetle). Sometimes
it's the carburetor but not very often. The last time the carburetor
had trouble was when this stupid metal plug on it blew out (it happened
with my last carburetor 10 years ago too) so I jb welded it back
on and it was good to go. Then I drank a beer.
