anyone use vicodin just to feel better? |
even if you don't have signifcant pain, do you ever take vicodin or
something similar, just to feel better? I admit, I do.
I can't drink alcohal. it makes me feel like crap. gives me a headache
which is the opposite of what I want. I don't smoke cigs. I don't do
weed. I don't do other drugs because I haven't been exposed to them and
I'd probably be too scared to try them (a good thing obviously).......
but perscription vicodin, oh I like that stuff. makes me feel 'ok'. I
know it's addicting. I try to limit myself.
it helps me get through the rough times. the times when I feel like I
would rather be dead.
well, whatever. I'm going to continue to try to survive this life. I
hope things get better for all of you hurting badly right now. I really
do.
day by day.......

if you don't get yourself addicted, why not? so said my family
doc when vicodin was the only thing helping me. took them when
i needed to get through the rough spots. he even prescribed me
a big jug of them.
warning: don't try this with your doc :-) mine's quite
uncommon.

thanks Lisa you seem to understand!
you said it exactly how I feel. I take it to get through the rough
spots. and I don't fall apart when I don't have any. it just makes
life a tiny bit easier and more bearable. I wish there were more
people like you, and your family doc too.
wishing you comfort and wellbeing, aj.

I just ordered a bunch of poppy pods from ebay, make some nice morphine
tea. I've got a flashy scientfic hot plate/stirrer. You've got to keep
it really temperature controlled as you don't want to boil, just under.
I lost my mag stirrer though so I'll have to get another.
Too bad it tastes so awful.
If you're using painkillers though, keep in mind they are depressants.
There is evidence that some people are helped by them though.
Morphine via stomach isn't very efficient though, a lot is lost. Big
molecules, now is the time to buy though. It's harvest time.
Just keep in mind that you're using them for floral arrangements.

Also too much vicodin can really put the hurt on your liver from the
tylenol.
If you really want to get into painkillers you'll need cold water extraction
to avoid that.
I don't suggest getting into painkiller, opiates are just too handy.

I wish I could try what you're doing, but I'm too afraid I'll screw it
up and end up hurting myself from it... it sounds good though, if you
do it right..... good luck with cooking up some painrelieving tea, I
wish I could take part....

D*mn. that is not good. Are you being treated for this?
I understand how you like the vicodin for that, but
there are non-addicting alternatives (granted not quite the
same)
Hoping you find help for this.

I don't get strung out or messed up on it, I just feel more relaxed, I
don't feel so bad about the bad things in my life. caffinene
strings me out. I avoid feeling hysterical at all costs.

I don't mean to be the voice of doom. Some people are fine. This
lady really couldn't handle it , I think the body builds up a
tolerance so you need more to get the same effect and that your
emotions can get out of control. Instead of that warm fuzzy feeling
they can turn on you.
Lisa was fine with it, I am sure alot of people are. Maybe the
trick is to take long breaks between dosages, just be carefull is
all! good luck, jill

it's cool. I didnt think you were the voice of doom - just cautioning
me on what the stuff is capable of, if mis-used and I appreciate that.
thanks for being concerned! i suppose that im at a point in my life
(still) where i will take relatively safe drugs , limitedly, to get
through horrible hours or days..... it's better than other more rash
alternatives which i will most likely never try. survival instinct
always kicks in. did that make sense?

Vicodin is a narcotic, it would be good if you could find an
alternative. You could look into natural pain relievers, or others that
are less potent. You could ask your doctor for more information or
suggestions.
Doing some simple stretching exercises might be helpful, if isn't too
painful. I'm not sure that you would need an anti-depresssant, but that
could be something you could also check into. It might relieve some of
the distress caused by the pain.

I wish there was an alternative that also had the same depression
relieving effects that vicodin has, only longer lasting. I'm going
to have to find another G.P. on this because I've already asked the one
I have and he doesn't seem to know.
