What a bunch of fucking assholes.
I called the main line again, the fuckers, they're like, "You're the account
holder, you bought a computer and used this card and if you cancel we'll
charge your credit card $$$ in penalties for canceling" I was like, "Ummmm
I never bought a computer I don't live in XXXXX I live in Florida, I never
authorized AOL to charge anything to my account." I told them I would be
calling the fraud department if they didn't remove the charges and get my
card removed from their records and they were saying, "If you cancel this
account we will charge your account the $$$ for the penalty." By this time
I"m screaming this is fraud, I never authorized these charges, it's not my
account, I never bought a freaking computer this is freaking fraud, they
started yelling at me!!!! I ended up hanging up on them.

u2b, I was reading all sorts of AOL complaints last night. You should
consider canceling the contract now which is really just paying out
the entire contract term. It appears to be a several month process so
you might as get going.

Well hon once the contract expires it should be a piece of cake the problem
is Michaels contract hasn't expired yet, that's the issue. They won't allow
him to cancel until the contract runs out and unfortunately for me my credit
card is listed as the account holder under his name, address and passwords
etc. I received three credits this morning, one more to go... Funny thing
is, the fuckers charged another month to it this morning sooooo actually two
more credit backs to go. I think I pissed them off, when I said, "Do you
realize that you are the fraudulent party, not the secondary account holder,
I never authorized these charges and you charged them." The lady didn't
speak a lot of English and got really pissed and I couldn't even understand
her anymore so I hung up.

ARe you all getting a AOL acount for just read a brief news and message

AOL is a packages practical for a whole family people without a doubt
not wasting a $25 a month. I use AOL, since I am not that computer
person. I am not into computer technology.
Am I worry if someone looking hacking in? , Not really, there isn`t

Stupid American was the word, a police in the chatt room must counted

dreadful AOL discounts applied to a computer purchase that comes with
6 months of discounted AOL service. Contract law is a ***** and AOL
is a notorious ***** in all things customer service related. The
link below is a lady who faced a similar situation. She ended up
filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against CompUSA,
the retailer. Got her refund via overnight delivery. She had
returned the computer though so your leg to stand on may be weaker if
Gravity bought the computer with your card and you didn't immediately
dispute the computer charge as fraudulent, even though you've been
disputing all the monthly service fees.

That's the thing, the Computer was never charged to my credit card, he
bought that before we met, he was behind on his payments, they were gonna
shut him down, I didn't want him to NOT have computer access, so I offered
to cover a month of service. ONE month. Well when he submitted my credit
card information, he must have told them this was the "new" card or
something, because they took my name from the card and made me the account
holder. He couldn't even make changes either because I was the primary
holder on the account but I couldn't make changes cuz I didn't have any of

Wow. I'm sure you'd have noticed, but I'd look at your past
statmements online just to make sure a computer charge didn't slip by.
More likely, he bought the computer, wanted the discount so took the
AOL option but used your card number specifically for the AOL
application you have to fill out. The couple hundred dollar AOL
discount could have made a low end computer virtually free for
Gravity.
That's criminal and AOL can tell you the date and location of the
contract completion and probably provide a copy of the executed
contract upon request. He probably used all your contact info too,
those stores don't care.

Maybe I meant Jane vs. AOL. But even if
it was a case against you -- hey, if you
take it to Judy, you get paid, too, even
if you lose. The $ Jane would get is
deducted from a set amount per case

gee thanks.
Don't jump to conclusions, Michael.
Maybe I meant Jane vs. AOL. But even if
it was a case against you -- hey, if you
take it to Judy, you get paid, too, even
if you lose. The $ Jane would get is
deducted from a set amount per case
(like $10,000) and then you'd both split
the remainder. Plus they'd pay for yer
travel and expenses. Win-win, except for
the public humiliation part.
Gayle
It would probably be their best episode ever. I'm available as a
character reference or material witness to the highest bidder.
Could you imagine Jane pulling out the stack of emails...unfortunately
ASD would be a prevalent part of the proceedings and would be
instantly flooded by the curious public. It would take % weeks to get
it back to normal.
the pop can jokes would filter into mainstream culture.
"yeah that Bacon guy pop-canned her good!"
munsened in Oklahoma,
Gravity
Some where "kick a dent in it" would come up. And knowing my luck
that post I made about my smaller than average "business."

I'm laughing my head off. This would go down in Judge Judy and TV history.

But Judy would also probably take a bite
outta Jane's bum, too, for giving her
cc# to him in the first place.

Come on hon. Hindsight is always 20-20. Not one among us hasn't been
guilty of poor judgement at one time or another. Or trusting someone that
we shouldn't have. Write it off a lesson learned and be good to yourself.

To tell ya the truth, Jane, I might have
done the same thing. I'd rather be open
to trusting someone and risk getting
burned than make all decisions based on
the possibility that my trust would be
misplaced and I'd get ripped off.
Besides, as Bacon said, it's Judy's way
of throwing in a 'life lesson'. The
thrashing wouldn't be for your benefit,
imo, cuz you've learned your lesson. It
would be for the benefit of those
starry-eyed viewers who could use a warning.
