I put my shorts on. these are spring temps. my gawd I think some
records were broke.
this is too awesome to be true, and yet, it is.

toronto broke one at 6 am today ,
it was the hottest jan 7 ever and it was only 6 am ,
it ended up being something like 56 F

minus 26 last night about minus 20 now ,
i'm using more wood this year in the fireplace

I cut up cardboard and stuck it in my vents so the heat can't get in.

i had places like that , windows open all year ,
and them old metal radiators just poundin out the heat ,
but i like the fireplace , heat , it looks nice ,
and gives me something to do poking it around ,
and going to get more wood

My mom's side of the family makes crazy bonfires. Like twelve feet high
right in the middle of town.

i saw it on tv the other day ,
but you could hook them together like a train ,
and pull about 5 of them with a horse ,

The pioneers here didn't have horses. That's why they had the carts.
Either they had to sell their horses to buy provisions to leave, or the
people that hated mormons killed all their animals.
