Back pain |
I do not like to medicate for my back pain because my liver is taking a lot
from my nut's meds and my hypertension meds. However there are days like
today in which the pain is unbearable. I have just recently been aware that
happiness for me almost means to be free of this pain. Lying in bed doesn't
help. When I sit at my computer chair I have the compulsion to put one leg
on the sit, as if to be comfy, and I actually feel better, but in a matter
of a couple of minutes the leg starts protesting because there is not enough
blood circulating in it. Age sucks, I would like to live no longer than
about 5 more years, to be able to know my grandchildren. Perhaps I should
start to drink, huh? That's a sure ticket to the grave for me.

Have you tried an electro-stumulation device (TENS unit)? My brother in
law, who has a completely demolished disk, uses one and it at least
mitigates the pain. I tried it for my limited sciatic nerve pain and it
works very well.
But you need to get the high end prescription only (at least in the U.S.)
TENS units, not the sort you can but on the net.
If your position can relive the pain, perhaps the nerve stimulation will
help.

Thanks for the tip. I will certainly research it, and maybe I will use this
method. My father also suffers from a lot of pain in one of his legs, so,
with a double purpose, I will find all the information I can.

So, you also suffer chronic back pain. You have my sympathy because I know
how it sucks, as you very well point it out. What I take for the pain is
nothing else but muscle relaxants. I do not get side effects and only one
pill can make me feel much better. Problem is my liver which has to deal
with a lot of chemicals and I have to look to intoxicate it the less
possible. Have you tried muscle relaxants?

I take one type. I've tried all the muscle relaxants but only one has
helped without knocking me out for 3 days at a time. I also have 2
different type of pain pills and then the typical Ibuprofen. I worry some
about my liver and other organs with all the meds I take but so far so good.
