I'm doing ok, but rather sleep-deprived and ***** at my
cat. Now he's doing his damnedest to get me to pet him. It isn't
going to work.

LOL...cats and the measures they'll go to for any attention (at least
my cat). What'd he do to ***** you off? Nodding about the sleep
deprivation...hopefully you'll get to nap today. Do you have any
plans?

I was up too late last night, then he decided at 6:30 that it
was time for attention. Yowling, going where he shouldn't,
chewing on my printer's USB cable. I finally locked him in the
bathroom (his food, water, and litter are in there, so he was
ok) for an hour while I dozed through his muffled screaming
and scratching on the door. Finally let him out and he kept
tapping on my face until I gave up trying to sleep.
My husband recently rebuilt our old canoe that we hadn't used
in about 20 years. He wants to water test it today.

Geez, no wonder you're tired! Been there before though, the never
ending howling and scratching until he gets attention. No chewing on
wires, he tears up our couches.

That sounds like fun actually. Do you have a lake nearby, or a pond?

The big reservoir near here's off-limits for canoes, and the
small lake's just a round thing surrounded by houses. There's a
swampy area not too far away with a stream running through it
where he wants to go. There's lots of wildlife there, though I
could do without the bugs.

There you are. Have you been up all night? What are your plans for
today/tonight, besides sleep ;-)
Me, same as always...down and downer. Usual morning hell...well, you
know...but I'm trying to post about lighter topics. And yourself?

Got to sleep about 2:30, up at 6:00, read the paper. I need a bit
more sleep, then off to Oregon for a week, doing some work at mom's
house. Not looking forward to the trip or being there, just getting
it behind me. So it goes.

Not much sleep at all...is that your nightly pattern? I'm finally,
after months, passing out around 11 the past few nights. Don't know
what happened, guess all the sleep deprivation finally caught up with
me. I think I've said it before but your mom sure is lucky. What
time are you leaving? What work will you be doing? So you won't be
here for a week then, on asd?

Some stores are open here, restaurants, movie theatres, etc. Do you
have anyone to spend some time with today? What's apple tv?

yeah, i'm debating going to the cardinals game with my parents and
nephew/neice...and on the 4th right when the game ends they start the
riverfront fireworks which is pretty neat, especially with the
kids...but i'm also just super busy so we'll see
apple tv is basically a hard drive that connects to your
stereo/tv...and you stream your itunes content from your computer to
it wirelessly...so you can watch HD quality movies and tv shows
downloaded from itunes in full surround sound and of course listen to
your music library...the video quality is a little disappointing from
what i've read, but i like the idea of downloading movies and not
having to watch them on the small computer screen

That sounds like a lot of fun. How old are your neice and nephew?
Sounds like you have plenty of relatives nearby that you get along
with, that's awesome. My kids wanna go see fireworks tonight and I
don't want to go, but we'll see. There's no fireworks anywhere close
by to where we live, so we'd have to travel some distance and the
traffic getting to and from is absolutely horrific. My biggest
concern is the crowd of people though, I still can't stand it. But,
we'll prolly go, for the kids. What're you so busy with, work? Did I
read somewhere that you were reading legal documents? What do you
do? Sorry, I don't remember.
