i read an article years ago in science news about how touch
releases all kinds of brain hormones. animals of all kinds crave
touch. atm, i hate when relative strangers touch me, though. we
have a couple of huggie people at partial now.
Some years ago, someone did a social psychology test and found that
having the cashier touch your hand while giving you your change, rather
than just drop it into you palm, significantly improved the rating you
gave to the transaction.

just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

yeah, I definatly believe it... I wasn't touched much as a baby, so
I think I need it paticularly... the U.S. is also a very touch deprived
culture... I know what you mean about "huggers" too, it can be awkward
when you meet an aquaintance, and you don't know whether to hug them or
shake their hands or what...

it could be that they don't realize that it makes you
uncomfortable... some people hug everyone, some people like me hug
sometimes out of affection or because because I'm trying to be
friendly... it's hard to tell sometimes what the other person wants...

I've always wondered whether or not people could tell that I didn't want to be
touched--especially hugged. Actually, I sometimes wonder why they can't tell! I almost
feel tingly, or something, when I'm touched by strangers--and some acquaintances. It would
be interesting if we could generate an electric discharge at will. LOL

One waitress called "Mister" which was a bit strange. I associate it

waitress calls other people "Senor" so she is just translating. Now

Me too.. and along those same lines,, you know those people who call
everybody hon,, Honey and sweetie,, I hate that,, I am not thier
sweetie,, uggh, I hate hate hate that,, But You can't say anything
because they are just trying to be nice which only makes it all worse.

they aren't trying to be nice ,
they're taking advantage of you ,
in a situation where they can get away with it
Yjou can't say anything though. They act like they were just trying to
be nice and you are the one with the problem. Its all so manipulative
it makes me crazy!! agghh,

yeah , like used2be does ,
It's OK for chicks, it's just a chick thing. Unless it's done
condescendingly, but I've seen her use it with almost everyone. It's
like wombn told me about a guy at work, he touched her, and that made
her squirm. Then she watched him and realized he did it to everyone,
even other guys. So she just wrote it off as him being a touchy-feely
kinda guy, and didn't worry about it after that.

for me It depends on who is doing it. the waitress and the
restaurant, that's okay, she's just trying to do her job. Used2be
called me that one time, I felt all gooshy inside.

I was thinking about this a bit after I posted it. I don't think I'd
like it so much if Brian Sunderland or Diminimi called me that, Well,
Brian, anyway.
