After being awake for almost three days straight, my wife has decided
she needs to take meds again. She hasn't taken meds for four years. I'm
glad she's going back on them.

She just about bought a plane ticket and skipped town on me. Now she's
taking the day off work and I'm cooking.

Oh man, I have been there before. That's one serious mania she had going.
I'm glad she didn't skip out on you. A day off sounds like something she
really needed, and you're a good guy to do the cooking. A couple weeks back
my oldest son did the cooking and the laundry. What a treat! I greatly
appreciated his efforts. What medication(s) is she going on? And has she
been on the same ones before this?

They just perscribed her Neurontin(sp?) 300mg/daily. It's what she was
on before. I made her give me all her credit and bank cards when we got
home from the doctor. I feel kinda bad doing it, but we can't afford any
big impulsive spending.

Huh. That's interesting. Neurontin (Gabapentin) is only approved in the
USA for the treatment of people with seizures. A lot of controversy
surrounding Neurontin when prescribed as a mood stablizer. Try not to beat
yourself up too much over the bank and credit cards. Unfortunately, this
kind of policing is often necessary given the circumstances. You're only
being responsible and practical, and though she may feel bad about it now,
somewhere inside she probably understands.

I wonder why. I'll read around and find more about it.

I was thinking about it and she does something like that to me. She's
always hiding my razorblades from me among other things.

My doc gave me neurontin early on. It had no effect whatsoever. I was
also out of my mind because of geodon having been added recently and
that all culminated in a 72 hour hold, of which I stayed for ~40.
Then threatened the hospital over how I had been handled in the ER and I
never saw a bill for even a dime.
That was when I held my infamous juice box drinking contest. I was like
a college frat boy - with grape juice.

It does. I feel bad for my daughter when she gets older. Having two
kooks for parents.

Let's hope she does better than Wynne. Three nutters in a family of
three is pushing it.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

Wow. Glad she's going back on the. Hoping it's the
right Rx.
You are very lucky if three days awake is the worst
that's happened.
