Bipolar disorders????? |
Has anyone notice that mental health doctors are pushing bipolar disorders
and the meds that go with them? I am simply depressed with no mood swings
that I notice and if I do have any which we all do, they are not great
enough for bipolar meds. People who are not depressed have more of a mood
swing than I do. So why is the VA pushing bipolar meds on me like Lithium
(900 mg. per day)? Anyone have any experience with this?

Lithium's cheap. And it does work for some depressives. But, mostly,
it's cheap.

How many bipolar disorders have been pushed on you?
Mental health drugs can't be classified as being specific to one
disorder. The part of the pharmacopoeia.
I'm currently using an alzheimers drug in addition to one for bipolar,
narcolepsy, heart disease, a small dose of a major tranquilizer.
Each of these drugs has been carefully chosen for the properties of the
drug itslf not a a notion of a "bipolar med". Many depressed people use
mood stabilizers augmentment treatment
