Birds .... |
Or should that be random noise in general?
OK, a friend who lives next door to my friend's place
at which I'm staying has a parrot in the living room
that goes ****SQUARK**** every 30 seconds or so.
He has three kids also, so I guess this doesn't
bother him, however no way I'd stay at his place.
I am serious considering shooting some other bird that
has taken up residence in a tree outside the place I'm
staying at. I don't know what breed of bird it is, however
it's version of ***SQUARK**** is seriously pissing me
off.
Oh .... if only I could find which box I packed my air
rifle pellets ....

I am up really early usually and the birds start going off like
clockwork. At the faintest hint of light, usually around 4:30 am or
so, they start chirping away. They're so loud. Maybe it's because my
kids like making those birdfeeders by taking a large pine cone,
spreading them with peanut butter then rolling them with birdseed and
hanging them in our backyard. We need to get a bird bath for them.

I love hearing some owls at night. We have one that's call
sounds like it's eating something alive, though. Not pleasant,
and it really freaks out the cats.

Do you have Barn Owls over there (Tyto alba)? They're nocturnal, and
have a shriek that's terrifying when they sneak over your head and then
let it go. I can only assume it's to scare the mice so the owl can hear
them trembling. (Barn owls can successfully hunt when blindfolded.)

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

We have Barn Owls. I don't remember whether that's what this
is, though. It emits a blood-curdling scream, whatever it is.
I much prefer the hoot of the Barred Owls.
