Object: Blue artwork
I feel awful posting a link to my website when I haven't really been
involved in a newsgroup. Reading through some posts here, though, I think
some people might like it and I doubt I'll ever be even able to sell it
anyway. The artwork is my own drawings sometimes intermixed with
photographs. The photography is mostly landscape and flower type photos.
I'm on Zoloft and fighting those ghosts that seem to haunt my brain. Fall
weather and winter really fill me with meloncholy and weariness. A year ago
I drove across the USA and "back" and decided to give everything a go again.
Anyways, check it out, or not:

Best wishes,
Ryan

great stuff..
I really like the whino teddy bear. kinda how I'm feeling lately..
I'm actually trying to pull a site together to show off my sculpture too.
...I felt like maybe posting it in this group too, because it's all
depression fueled stuff... ..hope others are interested.
anyway, keep it up.. ..it's great to be able to express yourself and create
something so tangible and interesting for others to experience..

Many thanks for your comments. I'd love to see your sculpture whenever you
get your site together. For myself, seeing someone's expression of their
pain or sadness helps me know I'm not alone and that there are other people
feeling these things, and fighting them as well. Like you say, "tangible".
Just a different kind of group therapy. Words help too, but for some reason
art can speak (in my opinion) to a different level of emotion.
For myself, as you say in another post, creating stuff like this is very
much cathartic. It's much of what I'm holding onto now. My psych doctor
really responds to the monkey on the stairs and encourages the work.
Anyways, best wishes, apologies if I posted anything to this newsgroup I
shouldn't have,

you didn't step on any toes. and you're welcome to come post
anytime.
the only problem i have is when people i don't know advertise
sites which are primarily forums for depressed folks to talk.
that's what this place is for.
welcome to asd.
