Well, as always.
Our good friends have been stranded at our house for a week as their RV
broke down on their way back from a trip and it took forever to get the
problem diagnosed, get parts, three day weekend, then when we picked it
up, the brakes went back out, etc.
It's been fun and interesting , but 4 dogs and my friend's wife broken
ankle have kept the excitement level a wee bit higher than necessary.

Yesterday, late in the morning, we got the word the RV was done so I
drove my friend back to the RV repair place, he picked up his RV and we
went back to my house. Yay!
By the time we got back to my house, the (new) brakes were smoking and
locked up. So he drove the RV back to the RV repair place while I
followed. Then they put it back in the shop and replaced the other
caliper and stuff while we stared at them showing how ***** we were
and finally, late in the afternoon, the RV was ready (again) and we
picked it up (again) and came back here and started drinking (again).
My friend's wife's leg is black and blue and green and swollen up to the
knee, peeking out over the top of the cast, but overall, she's doing a
bit better (thanks to the drinking and pain pills) and all of the dogs
have sorted out who is what so now just as everything is settling down,
they are leaving.
Today.
Maybe.
We'll see.

geez, your poor friends have terrible luck!

i missed the part about HOW she broke her leg. it wasn't at your house, was
