Body Dysmorphic Disorder - treatments with SSRIs |
Does anyone know how exactly broad spectrum anti-depressants (such as
Citalopram, Fluoxetine etc) treat a specific psychiatric disorder such
as Body Dysmorphic Disorder?
Depression often accompanies Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and so by
taking an anti-depressant, would that medication not be treating the
depression only, and leaving the BDD untreated.
Many thanks
.
