there's not an awful lot to do here. i was stupid to have not brought my
laptop. things were actually fine while we stayed with my sil, but now
we're with joe's parents. the boys are watching cartoons and joe's playing
a game on his laptop. unfortunately, the computer i can use is in the
basement and i can't hide out down here forever.
at least tomorrow we're going to chicago for the whole day, and the next
day we head home. i just have to get through the rest of today.

so the media would have us believe. my dream is 10 or 20 acres in the
middle of nowhere, with all kinds of livestock to keep me entertained
(read: busy!). I'll live in a shack, but I want a nice barn for my
critters, though.

Never plan a trip of more than 48 hours when visiting friends or
family, even that can be too long.
