been at least 2 romances in there, but it's low key. it's certainly not a

When I have time for irc, I like to go to the palmwarez room. There's
lots of really smart engineers there. I also like Secret Shame's room.

Best advice I can give too. Where, I cannot suggest.
I would conjecture that there are other sensible (can't
say "adult" can I) ppl who realize the potential of the
medium for 2nd language practice.

Same here, although I rarely use IRC.
Some channels ban ppl for 1. bad language 2. being on
some adult channel 3. PM 4. other.

That's why I prefer to use a gender-neutral name and refuse, in most
cases, to disclose whether I'm male or female.

the alias "HIV+". You get a lot less romance that way.
