chirp |
<chirp> joe forgot to get the replacement battery while he was
in town today, so the smoke detector's still chirping at us at
random intervals. makes for weird <chirp> dreams.
<chirp>
it's like living with electronic hiccups.

LOL, when smoke detectors were new on the market, I thought I had crickets
in the basement, and tried to exterminate them. Nothing would slow down the
crickets, much less kill them. Then I discovered it was low battery on the
smoke detectors LOL Live and learn...

My cell phone beeps at me too when I forget to charge it. I can charge
it at home or in the car, and still forget sometimes. I charge it at
work sometimes too if I bring the charger cord with me.

that's annoying. mine just goes dead. of course, it doesn't

I hate that.

Why don't you just get some new 9 volts?
Eat the old ones.
