Object: Counterfeit Zoloft?
X-No-Archive:
I ordered generic Zoloft (sertraline) online from an internet pharmacy,
and received the package yesterday: Serta, manufactured in INDIA.
India? I was expecting it would be manufactured in Canada, or at least
New Zealand, where the company is headquarted. They're 100mg white
tablets of Serta, and shoddily-made, with some of the tablets having
the divider-indentation down the middle and others not. Unichem India
is the manufacturer. Yeesh, I'm not sure whether to trust this stuff or
not.

Shnaggletooth,
I don't know if I would trust something like that or not. I know that
if my anti-depressant is messed with in any way, (such as changing
dosage, brands, etc.), I go out of my mind. LITERALLY! LOL! But not
really funny. I am sure that you paid a lot of money for them, so if
you do try them, you would know if something wasn't right if you start
getting vertigo, or start flipping out. Both have happened to me many
times. Did you look up the website of the manufacturer. I am not
racist, but I personally wouldn't trust anything that came from India.
I think you should look up the name on the web to see if anyone has had
any comments on them.
Good luck! ;-) Deb

I am a Canadian, and I just saw this thread.
Listen, Canadians were warned last week NOT to purchase anything over
the internet even if it IS manufactured supposedly in Canada.
Genuine, real, true to the science pharmacies will NOT send you
anything like that over the mail via the internet.
Any such drug MUST be dispensed by a pharmacy as prescribed by a
doctor. After all, it is a controlled drug.
Sounds like someone is doing a lot of "snake oil".
As a fellow depressive, I know how you feel, but you are much better
off buying the drug in your home country under your doctor's
prescription and supervision. The world is full of counterfeit
medicines and peope out to make money from nice folks like you.
Take care, okay?

I'm a Canadian here too, and nobody F*#ks with my Zoloft. I go straight to
the pharmacy and talk to a real person. I'd be leery of all these internet
pharms...it seems like a get rich quick scheme for the owners and to hell
with the people suffering.
Just my two cents
